Samuel Mburu, CPA

Samuel brings over 10 years of experience in project finance, transaction advisory, and financial analysis across Africa. His experience across infrastructure, transport, aviation, manufacturing, and social impact strengthens our advisory team and enhances our ability to deliver impactful financial solutions to clients. Prior to joining Rock, he worked at KMPG across deal sourcing, transaction advisory, stakeholder management and resource mobilization.

Samuel is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), holds a Bachelor of Commerce from KCA University and an MBA from United States International University Africa.

Kathambi

Yvonne Kathambi

Yvonne Kathambi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Financial Engineering from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology with a strong interest in financial markets and investment banking. She has a solid foundation in market research, financial analysis, and the development of market insights, with a focus on delivering structured and data-driven analysis. She supports the RIB Research Department through contributing to research outputs and analyzing economic and financial trends.

Yvonne is passionate about capital markets and is focused on expanding her expertise in capital raising, mergers and acquisitions, and asset management. She is currently pursuing Applied Data Science at World Quant University to further strengthen her analytical and quantitative skill set.

Subira Muatha

Subira Mwikali is a Financial Engineering graduate with a growing foundation in investment banking, financial analysis and capital markets research. At RIB, she has gained hands-on experience across Transaction Advisory and Research, supporting projects involving financial analysis, investor pipeline management, market reporting and financial modelling. Her exposure to both analytical and operational aspects of investment banking has strengthened her understanding of transaction processes and market dynamics.

Subira is passionate about capital markets, investment analysis and is open to continuous learning. She is currently pursuing the CIFA qualification as she continues to deepen her expertise in investment banking and financial markets.

Wesley

Wesley Ogoti

Wesley works within the Transaction advisory team at RIB and helps them support businesses and investors on strategic transactions and financial decision-making. His experience spans financial analysis, valuation, transaction support and market research, with exposure to deals across multiple sectors and evolving capital markets environments.

Driven by a strong interest in investment banking and corporate strategy, Wesley is passionate about helping businesses unlock value through well-structured financial solutions that support sustainable growth. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance major) degree from the University of Nairobi.

Kelvin is a communications and media professional with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication
and Media Technology. He brings a strong foundation in strategic communication, brand
storytelling, and digital media to his role.
He is responsible for shaping and managing the institution’s public image, driving impactful
communication strategies, and strengthening stakeholder engagement. His expertise spans
media relations, digital campaigns and content development, enabling him to translate complex
financial concepts into clear, compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences.
Kelvin is committed to enhancing brand visibility and positioning Rock Investment Bank as a
trusted leader in the financial sector.

Erick

Eric Gituku

Eric Gituku is an accomplished finance officer with vast experience in financial reporting,
Budgeting, compliance and internal Controls. He ensures the accuracy of financial information
and supports decision making across the firm.
He has experience in financial analysis and tax compliance with a background spanning across
audit, retail and logistics, giving him a well-rounded understanding of financial operations.
He holds a Bachelor’s of commerce degree specializing in Finance and Banking and is currently
pursuing professional qualifications.

Lydia Amadi

Lydia is a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper with over six years of experience in commercial environments, including offices and corporate facilities. Skilled in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety in busy, high-traffic spaces, with strong knowledge of cleaning procedures, equipment, and health regulations. Known for consistency, efficiency, and a proactive approach to ensuring clean, organized, and professional workspaces.

Meggy has a background in procurement with two years of experience supporting procurement activities. She has basic experience in order processing and a working knowledge of procurement and supply chain procedures. She is reliable in carrying out administrative tasks and contributes to the smooth running of day-to-day procurement operations.

Thandie

Thandie Maina

Thandie Maina is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with a strong foundation in banking, finance, and real estate law. She currently serves as the Legal and Compliance Officer at Rock Investment Bank, where she advises on complex financial transactions, conducts legal due diligence, and ensures compliance with applicable Kenyan regulatory frameworks. Her role also involves supporting transaction structuring, managing legal and regulatory risk, and providing guidance on the Rock Investment Bank’s corporate and investment activities.

Thandie has developed experience in financial services regulation, anti-money laundering (AML), and commercial law through her work in both in Mohammed Muigai LLP and in-house at Bank of Africa Kenya Limited. She is particularly interested in legal and compliance functions within investment banking, with a focus on regulatory compliance, risk management, and corporate governance.

She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Strathmore University, a Postgraduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law, and has undertaken training in arbitration through the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb). She is also pursuing the Certified Secretaries (CS) qualification.

Thandie is detail-oriented, commercially aware, and committed to upholding high standards of legal and regulatory compliance in dynamic financial environments.
